Nexus Club New York: A Thoughtfully Designed Space For Diverse Needs _ Morris Adjmi Architects

New York, United States _ Nexus Club New York: A Thoughtfully Designed Space For Diverse Needs _ Morris Adjmi Architects

Located on the seventh floor of 100 Church Street in Lower Manhattan, Nexus Club New York is a private social and business club.

It is a club offering more than 34,000 square feet of carefully curated amenities to meet a diverse array of member needs and wants within a single, thoughtfully designed space.

With an ambition to serve and delight its members, Nexus Club New York is intended to be a gathering place for family, friends, and colleagues.

This is achieved through the provision of perfectly matched spaces and services ranging from wellness and fitness areas, dining and meeting rooms, event spaces, and children’s play areas.

The Club overall exemplifies simplicity in design, blending warmth and richness with comfort and urban sophistication.

Each space has a distinct material palette that reflects its use, providing unique and individual impressions.

Custom millwork and FF&E throughout the club result in a comprehensive offering that caters specifically to member use.

In addition to the spaces one would expect to find in a membership club, such as inviting environments to work, dine, and gather, the Club provides members with two added amenities that set it apart—a holistic wellness center and family services.

Gently arched openings are a repeating motif that thread the various spaces together via a central “gallery” hall clad in rich walnut paneling and hand-selected works of art.

The over 40 unique works of art were curated, sourced, and installed by MA’s in-house art services, including locally sourced photography, paintings, and sculptures.

About Morris Adjmi Architects:

Morris Adjmi, FAIA established MA in 1997 following a 13-year collaboration with Pritzker Prize-winning architect Aldo Rossi. On that strong foundation, Morris built a design practice known for its thoughtful engagement with history, distinct interpretation of industrial forms, and creative expression of materials.

Each design decision is guided by a deep appreciation for and understanding of the integral architectural, artistic, cultural, civic, environmental, and economic forces that shape a project. This rigorous, research-based approach has helped to establish MA as a leader in the revitalization of post-industrial neighborhoods and historic districts with projects that are imbued with a distinct sense of place and purpose.

The firm strives to maintain a strong sense of community and culture by creating an enriching work environment complemented by engaging programming. We are dedicated to fostering a mentoring environment to facilitate professional growth and providing an atmosphere in which everyone can flourish.

"We create buildings that stand out by fitting in."
